This project started in 2024 after I was appointed as a visiting researcher at the NTT East Regional Circulation Future Research Institute. I hope to apply method of sonic ethnography to investigate the unique soundscapes rooted in Sado's history, ecology and climate, and its listening culture, and to publicise the results through various media, in order to communicate the attractiveness of the region from the perspective of sound.
